This is a house I built for my father, on a production farm with 7ha of vineyards, olive groves, and a vegetable garden. It was my father’s former wish – a physician with a very intense activity in Coimbra – who found here the counterpoint of peace and harmony to the violence of his life and death quotidian. We took advantage of an unfinished pre-existing structure that we completed following a model of popular architecture in the region with exterior walls in granite and a structure made of chestnut wood.
