The Grincho Pharmacy Store is located on Av. Da República, also facing the 5 de Outubro Square, in the center of Parede’s parish, in Cascais. It occupies the ground floor of a building also designed by JB&AA in 2001.

On this project, a different typology was chosen from what is usually recurrent in these spaces, which are too impersonal and in which only functional aspects are valued. Thus, we pursued a classically inspired model in which we also designed the interiors and furniture in public services spaces, using natural beech (“faia”) wood, also including “fresco” paintings with motifs alluding to the pharmacy.

The treatment of the facades also followed a classically inspired design. All other interior spaces, although more bound to the integration of different equipment, also include materials that reinforce a more humanized environment with its own identity.
